March 2013

March started out with a very cold and snowy Spring Break.  Honestly, the snow stuck around pretty much all month long.  The kids had fun sledding with their friends.

Rebecca loves to read.  She is such a good reader.  Jerry tries to do a one on one dates with the kids once a week.  (1 kid per week)  Rebecca chose to go to the Library for their date.  She is so cute.

Hayden got to go play at the play place at the mall, then for an ice cream at Dairy Queen for his date on his date in March.

Little darling Luke.  This wasn't from their one on one - just a cute picture.  Notice in many of his pictures he has one of Jerry's large baseball caps on, backwards of course.  Usually for their one on one's Luke gets to accompany Jerry on a shopping trip to Walmart.  AKA - giving mom a break time.
Sydney lucked out for her one on one date for the month.  She had pretty decent weather so they got to go play at the park.
They all love their special time with

Indianapolis Children's Museum
We went to the Indianapolis Museum one Saturday.  It is a pretty amazing museum..  We all loved it.  We happened to be there during a "Super Hero" display.  Even better.

 Pinewood Derby Time
One of the big things Hayden has been excited about with scouts was being able to do the Pinewood Derby.  We kinda cheated on the car.  We ordered a kit, rather than sawing, sanding, etc.  He still put in the work of assembling the wheels and painting it, we just didn't want to worry about buying or renting any of the tools for it.  Plus, it turned out way better than we could have made it look if we did the whole thing on our own.

Jerry took the kids bowling one Saturday afternoon.  We were all going to go together, but by the time we got around to going it was getting dangerously close to Luke's nap time.  I opted to stay home and enjoy a quiet nap time rather than chase him all over the bowling alley.  They all had a great time.
