Hayden - He's been taking swimming lessons this summer. He is finishing up his second session this week. We were only going to do one, but during the first week of lessons he was complaining because he didn't like swimming. So like any good parent, what do we do when our child doesn't like something, sign him up again of course! Honestly, in Vegas it really isn't an option, he needs to know how to swim because so many people have pools. I'm SO glad we did the second session because his confidence has really gone up, and he LOVES swimming now. The first week of classes he didn't even dare put his head under water, and now he jumps from the side of the pool into the water. He's becoming a little fish. He takes lessons with his "girlfriend" Katelynn. Here they are being themselves.

-Tonight Hayden was talking to Rebecca about our trip up to Utah. He told her we'll be going to grandma's on "Friturday".
- We had some brownies for dessert tonight and Hayden wanted to get one out of the pan, but couldn't quite get it so he asked Jerry for help. While Jerry was helping him he said, "Dad, when I'm your age I'll be able to get it out by myself, but I'm too little now." Jerry assured him that it is one of the perks of being his age.
Rebecca - While Hayden and Katelynn are at swim lessons, Korina (Hayden's future mother-in-law) and I trade off taking the kids to lessons or watching Rebecca and Aiden (Katelynn's brother, AKA Rebecca's "boyfriend") They are two peas in a pod.
- Tonight as Jerry was making the said brownies he was being such a fun dad and letting Rebecca help. He was so sweet and nice... in the beginning. Once she started cracking eggs into the batter Jerry's patience grew thin and his voice a little louder. She was determined to crack as many eggs and eggshells into that batter as she could, and wanted to mix it with her fingers. Poor Rebecca was banished from the kitchen within a few minutes. I should also say, Poor Jerry.
- This morning as we were getting ready for church I told the kids to grab two small toys that they could quietly play with during Sacrement meeting. Hayden grabbed a lego guy and another small lego thing. What did Rebecca grab?
No, this wasn't the shoe on her foot. I can see how one shoe and one puzzle piece would be lots of fun to play with??? See why I struggle trying to find her toys that she'll like? She was very excited to take them too, and a little mad that I made her find something else.Sydney - Should I be worried?? This picture was taken just after she turned 5 months. She is almost 6 months and always in this crawling position, she's ready to take off. She can already get everywhere - FAST just by rolling. I think I'm going to be one busy lady trying to catch her.
- I just love this little face! What a cutie.
