Exploration Acres

Ok, it is beyond time for me to get caught up on this blog. I'm hoping to be all caught up before the end of the year.
So, let's go back to the beginning of October. I went to the pumpkin patch/corn maze with my brother, John and his family. It was so much fun. It was probably one of the first times I got out of the house and did something fun with the kids since Luke was born. It was very good for me. Jerry was studying all day getting ready for finals. It really has been such a blessing to be here with John and Sara. They've been so helpful to me, whether they planned it or not. With Jerry at school so much they've really been there to help me when I needed, and also to give me the social life that I needed :)

Here we are ready to start our day at the pumpkin patch

Hayden and Jayden just chillin' with their juice boxes checking out the scene. How are these boys getting so big?

John and Sara's family

We started with the corn maze. John rode hayride over to the maze with the kids, while Sara and I walked with the strollers. This corn maze was amazing! There were 5 or 6 mazes you could choose from. There were awesome Halloween pictures that made these mazes.
Getting a better vantage point for the maze.

After the corn maze we hung out by the pumpkin patch at all the fun games. We spent most of the day there. There were hay bale mazes, panning for gold, tractor races, and lots of other fun games for the kids.

Luke LOVED being outside

Rebecca was a little emotional in this picture. I was over in the campground area feeding Luke with Sara. Rebecca was playing with the other kids and John. Somehow she got lost and couldn't find John and came looking for me. She ended up walking all the way to the pumpkin patch about 2 blocks distance away. The worker doing the hayrides noticed that Rebecca looked scared and lost. Meanwhile I'd finished feeding and went back to the group just as John said he couldn't find Rebecca. We quickly found each other, but still those few minutes of searching seem like an eternity. That part was definitely scary, but other than that, it was a great, beautiful day.
