Luke's Baby Blessing

Look at this cutie!

Just precious!

On Nov. 6 we blessed Luke. It was a beautiful day. John and Sara came to our ward and John stood in the circle. Jerry gave Luke a beautiful blessing. We are very blessed to have Luke in our family.

2011 Roylance Halloween Party

When we decided to move to Indiana one of the first things I was sad about was that we wouldn't be able to go to the annual Roylance Halloween party. But knowing John was here in town I decided we'd have our own midwest version of the Halloween party. It was so much fun.

Rebecca was Lemon Merengue (Strawberry Shortcake's friend)

Sydney was Jasmine

And Hayden was another Star Wars character, the Dark Side Anakin. I swear, some day soon we'll have the whole cast of characters costumes.

Luke was our cute little hot dog.

John and Sara's family costumes were so great. They were mad scientists.

Jerry and I dressed up as Ketchup and Mustard

We ate "Mummy Dogs"
Halloween Muddy Buddies
And pulled pork "sand- witches"

We did a pinata.

We also played a few "Minute to Win it" games. They were a huge hit.

Carved some pumpkins and played some fun Halloween mystery games. We just had a great time.

October odds and ends

October was a fun and busy month. Jerry remembered very quickly what finals week is like. Doing the full time MBA is pretty intense. They have 8 week modules, so that means finals after 2 months of learning a whole semester's worth of material. He had finals the 2nd week in October. So, long story short. I didn't see Jerry much for a whole week as he was studying round the clock and testing. The day he finished, he came home and packed and flew to California for a job/career fair, looking for an internship for the summer. The bummer was that he was gone on my birthday, in Anaheim, without us :( :( John and Sara were great at making my birthday special. Sara watched my kids while John and I went to a movie.
The benefit of Jerry being gone on my birthday was that he spoiled me when he got home and my birthday celebration continued.

Me with my b-day cake

Rebecca is a little mamma, when it comes to Luke. She loves that little boy. He loves her too. She hears him make any little sound and rushes over to play with him. He lights up when he sees her... usually. She can be a bit much at times. I have to remind her not to maul him.

Rebecca had a Halloween party in her preschool. She is loving her preschool.

We had a fun little photo shoot with Luke one day, because, well.... he's so darn cute!

We had fun carving pumpkins the Saturday before Halloween.

Some new do-s

Rebecca has been begging for so long to cut her hair really short. Her friend Katelynn cut her hair and donated it. Rebecca thought that was the coolest thing and wanted to do the same. We didn't actually donate it because it wasn't long enough, but it was still a drastic cut. I LOVE her short hair. I think it fits her personality. It makes her look so much older though. Not to mention that it is much easier to do. I was so sick of the daily fight over her hair.

Sydney wanted a little trim too.

A couple days later I decided to try my hand at cutting hair. How hard can it be, right?? Well, I learned it does take a little practice. I cut Hayden's hair way too short. I guess the good thing about cutting it too short was that it lasted a while. Probably didn't help that Luke woke up 1/2 way into the cut and wanted to be held. So I was rushing to get done to feed him. But my second hair cut was a little better, and hopefully the next will be even better.

And this next picture has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but I thought I'd just include a pic of my silly Sydney, hiding in a bin.
